YDI is a 24/7/365 private not-for-profit agency that provides behavioral health treatment services for youth and their families. We operate group homes and a secure Residential Treatment Center for high risk youth with complex emotional and mental problems and behavioral disorders.

YDI provides intensive and specialized treatment for youth referred by the Arizona Juvenile Courts, Child Protective Services, Regional or Tribal Behavioral Health Authorities or by other state child placement agencies for emotional problems and /or serious behavior disorders. YDI has been a provider of residential treatment services since 1997 and is located on a nine acre campus in Central Phoenix.

YOUTH CARE WORKER DESCRIPTION

Youth Care Workers (YCWs) provide direct supervision, behavior management and strategic treatment interventions for youth in residence. At YDI, YCWs are trained and supported to build helping relationships with troubled youth in a therapeutic community. YCWs are an integral part of a treatment team that includes therapists, psychiatrists, nurses, teachers and administrators, all of whom share a single vision of YDI as a place of healing and hope.

APPLICANTS MUST ALSO BE ABLE TO COMPLETE CRIMINAL HISTORY SELF-DISCLOSURE AFFIDAVITS AND OBTAIN AN ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY (DPS) LEVEL 1 FINGERPRINT CLEARANCE CARD, WHICH INVOLVES A STATE AND FEDERAL CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK.*

.*All positions at Youth Development Institute are safety sensitive positions as defined in ARS § 23-439. Therefore, the company prohibits the use, sale, manufacture, distribution or possession of alcohol, drugs, controlled substances, medical marijuana, or drug paraphernalia on any and all segments of the company premises, company owned vehicles, or personal vehicles used for company business or parked on company property. YDI is a drug-free zone with zero tolerance for violators.

REQUIREMENTS:

· Education and/or Previous Experience – minimum education. required: HS + 2 YEARS RELATED EXPERIENCE

· Experience in Behavioral Health Care with youth.

· Licensing requires staff to be at least 21 years of age.

· Valid AZ Driver license.

· Bi-lingual (50 cents an hour more)

· Guaranteed Overtime

· Pay based on experience, education, and/or shift
