We are looking for students who are skilled in 2D art and animation who want experience in the game industry.

Requirements:

  • Must have access to Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or another graphic program
  • Ability to meet deadlines and take direction
  • Must be able to draw many different styles
  • Must know how to animate objects in 2D
  • Some work may also be conceptual art
  • Knowledge of how to create and set up a 2D character rig is a bonus

This is an unpaid internship. May be eligible for college credit. (based on school’s internship requirements)

For applicants, we would like you to first complete the assessment listed in the job description before we proceed further in the hiring process.

For this assessment, we will need to see an illustrated animation that is exactly 15 frames. The animation needs to be no smaller than 256 x 256 pixels per frame, and no larger than 450 x 450 pixels per frame. Please include a sprite sheet with your animation.

If you are an Illustrator, provide a turnaround of Front, Back, Side, and 3 quarters of a topic of your choosing.

If your portfolio is not in your resume/cv then please provide it when you submit your assessment.

Things we will be assessing, but not limited to are:

• Use of color (line art animations will likely be rejected.)

• Quality of the animation/art (frames need to be lined up properly for a smooth animation.)

• Style of art (use the type of art you are most proficient at.)
