Summary

This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies through the STRL Mission Support Direct Hire Authority. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Duties

  • You will manage a dynamic cybersecurity program utilizing policies and programs from the local command and collaborating with personnel from across the command, various agencies, and numerous program offices.
  • You will be the principal advisor to the program manager on all Risk Management Framework matters, technical and otherwise, involving the security of information systems (IS) under their purview, in accordance with applicable policies.
  • You will support the program’s cybersecurity needs by coordinating with Information System Security Officers, System Administrators, Program Managers, Information System Owners, command leadership, security personnel, and various agencies.
  • You will provide expert evaluation and remediation of identified risks to hardware and software.
  • You will ensure continued readiness for Cyber Security Inspections and Assessment and Authorization events through development of policies and programs for Information Systems.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 722 – Information Systems Security Mgr, proficiency level Advanced the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and DON policies.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined:



1. Attention to Detail – Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.

2. Customer Service – Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.

3. Oral Communication – Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.

4. Problem Solving – Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.



In addition to demonstrating the four competencies above, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or DS-04 pay band in the Federal Service or equivalent experience in the public or private sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate duties related to some or all of the following:



1) Applying Information Technology security policies and constraints;

2) Executing contracting requirements and configuration and data management best practices;

3) Directing and mentoring a team;

4) Generating and managing high complex infrastructure and information technology requirements across multiple security levels.
