Civil/Bridge Engineer – Intern Summer 2025
In recent years, MJ Engineering, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Land Surveying, P.C. MJ is accepting applications for Civil Engineering Interns for the summer in our Engineering Department located at our Corporate Headquarters in Clifton Park, NY in 2025.
Engineering Responsibilities will include:
- Working within multiple design teams to support transportation projects from initial project programming up to and through construction.
- Prepare project plans including but not limited to general plans, typical sections, grading / erosion control plans, drainage / utility plans, profiles, signing / striping plans to support project approvals and construction.
- Support in the preparation the technical reports including design reports, drainage reports, bid documents, construction documents and cost estimating.
- Assist with field work including testing, inventory, and inspections.
- Assist with Engineer’s estimates.
- Participate in the construction administration support including shop drawing reviews, reviewing / responding to RFIs, completing periodic site inspections.
Qualifications:
- Working toward B.S. in Civil Engineering from an ABET- accredited college.
- Understanding of NYSDOT regulations.
- Knowledge in the use of MicroStation/AutoCAD as a design tool for the preparation of plans / drawings.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or be eligible to work without an employer sponsorship.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
