Birch Agency is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher for a full-time school-based position in Grand Rapids, Michigan for the 2026–2027 school year.
This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting students with diverse learning needs while working alongside a collaborative team of educators and related service providers.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized educational programs (IEPs)
- Provide specialized instruction to students with varying learning needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and support staff
- Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and communicate regularly with families
- Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan Special Education Teaching Certificate
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- School-based experience preferred
