No, it wasn’t those boring CAR ads…
Or even those god-awful BEER commercials…
If you check USA Today’s Ad Meter – voted on by thousands of people – the top 10 WORST ads included:
Meta – Look at our lame AI glasses, making even athletes look dorky… 🤓
OpenAI – “You can build things!” … Umm… I guess that beats all those little dots last year? 😒
Anthropic – Watch us dunk on ChatGPT for something that doesn’t even exist yet…. 🤔
Salesforce – We’re holding Mr. Beast hostage in our underground lab… or something??? 😬
Coinbase – Everyone loves the Backstreet Boys… so buy crypto, right? 🤑
So here’s my BIG question for you:
1️⃣ Were these ads just genuinely TERRIBLE?
2️⃣ Or do the poor ratings actually reveal how much the general public just HATES these companies? 🤬
For instance, I read one account of the Coinbase ad where a watcher said she was loving the ad… right up until the brand showed up at the end… 🙂
